Principal Violin - Yuri Mikhlin - has been a pronounced
violinist in Russia and then in the Pacific Northwest. At the age of 23, he
graduated from the Kiev Conservatory with honors. During his 20-year career
as Assistant Concertmaster violinist of the Kiev Opera and Ballet, Yuri Mikhlin
performed in Asia, Russia, and Europe. He was also the founder and the Music
Director of Ukraine Soloists Ensemble. This group received national and international
recognition and conducted many successful performances.
Olga Ruvinov - began her cello studies when she was 6 years
old in Perm, Russia. By the time she turned 12, she played solo performances
with Perm State Opera Orchestra. In 1989 she became a student at Russian Gnesin
academy of Music. In 1992 she was awarded a scholarship from Di Alto Perfezionamente
School in Saluzzo, Italy where she became a student of Vladimir Tonkha and
Elisabeth Wilson.
Viola - Ilya Shpigelman After winning third prize on
Moscow Chamber Music Competition in 1988, Ilya has dedicated his career to
performing chamber music. Being a full time student at Moscow Conservatory
he wins an audition to Moscow Academic Chamber Orchestra "Musica Viva".
A year later he becomes principal of viola section. At the same time Ilya
has studied principals of performing Renaissance and Baroque music in authentic
style with Baroque Ensemble of Moscow Conservatory.
